Introduction to the Cucumber framework and its significance in Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD). Session 2: Setting Up the Environment Installing JDK, Maven, and Visual Studio Code IDE. Adding Selenium and Cucumber dependencies via Maven. Overview of folder structure for Cucumber projects. Session 3: Writing Feature Files in Cucumber What are feature files? Writing Gherkin syntax (Feature, Scenario, Given, When, Then). Examples of feature files for web testing. Session 4: Step Definitions in Cucumber Mapping Gherkin steps to Java methods. Writing step definitions for browser interactions (login forms, navigation). Hands-on practice. Session 5: Selenium WebDriver with Cucumber Integrating Selenium commands into Cucumber step definitions. Handling locators, dropdowns, checkboxes, and alerts. Working with explicit waits. Session 6: Hooks and Data-Driven Testing Using @Before and @After hooks for test setup and teardown. Parameterizing tests with Cucumber Examples and Data Tables. Practical implementation. Session 7: Building and Running a Cucumber Test Suite Organizing feature files and step definitions. Running Cucumber tests with Maven. Generating reports (overview of HTML reports with Cucumber). Create a mini BDD project with login functionality.
